Franco Calluso

Franco Calluso was born in Buenos Aires in 1988. He is a playwright, director and musician. He is an advanced student of Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires. He studied playwriting at EMAD (the Metropolitan School of Dramatic Art, Buenos Aires) with Mauricio Kartun. He also trained at workshops taught by Alejandro Tantanián, Ariel Farace, Romina Paula, Mariano Tenconi Blanco and Ignacio Bartolone. His first production as a playwright and director, Nena Dragón, was selected for its premiere at the 2015 Opera Prima season at the Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas. Proyecto B21 was included in the 2016 El Porvenir (The Future) season. Ruido Blanco (White Noise), his second full-length play as a director and playwright, was selected among the projects to be developed at the 2017 Buenos Aires Young Art Biennial. He took part in the Buenos Aires Young Art Biennial in literature with his short story Los Jabalíes (The Boars), published by Eterna Cadencia in the 2017 anthology Raros Peinados Nuevos (Strange New Hairstyles). As an author he took part in the 2017 Radar Literatura festival at the Centro Cultural Recoleta. Nou Fiuter won first prize at the INT (National Theatre Institute) national playwriting competition of 2017.
